Traveller rear door lock anti rattle springs

Hi all,
My Traveller was missing the rear door locking rod anti rattle plates. They are unavailable new, and rare as hens teeth.
So I made my own. As they are a spring they should be made from spring steel so they spring back, and don't just bend.
While doing a google search on spring steel sheet, I found someone suggesting using the strapping thats used to tie bricks to pallets. I found some on the nature strip outside a building site and thought i'd give it a try.

after about five minutes with tinsnips and a hammer we have this.

Does anyone know how many should there be, two or four?
Cheers
