strange noise from engine when under load.... sounds
like a rattle??? but if i lift off throttle slightly it goes?
when its running at home i can give it full rev's
without a noise at all ?????
your thoughts please

Is it a light tinkling rattle? If so that could be pinking/pre-ignition. Retard the ignition to see if it goes.

Check the engine steady (to the corner of the battery shelf) is in reasonable condition

I'm sure you have been told before about the 'pinking' - as above - retard it urgently! It is very harmful to the pistons.....

yes roy... now sorted. had to give dizzy a little twist....
no more noise

Good -you want it 'not quite' pinking for best performance.
