If I use this forum to go ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH
Drove to the station this a.m. to drop someone off everything fine. Got back OK. Hour later off to do a job - car starts and then stops.; Flip open hood and fine slight loose connection to coil. Sort that still no start. Identify it's a spark problem. By the end of the day I had rewired all connections. Changed points. Reset gasp (15). Tried three different condensers (all old). Put on a new rotor arm. BUT still no consistent spark, though if you separate the contacts manually there is a discharge,
QUESTIONS.
Is there any easy way to check a condenser?
What is the value of the condenser on a Gold Seal MKII?
Any ideas where I can pick one up on a Bank holiday W/E?
