Had a problem lat night when driving home, went to use main beam and headlights went out completly, luckily lights came back on after re pressing foot switch. Briefly checked when I got home and when operating main beam switch both headlights go out, no blue light illuminating on front display panel either. Not had this issue previously and it was certainly working a couple of weeks ago when it passed the MOT. checked connector on foot switch and sprayed with WD40, checked earth by inner wing ,cant get a multi meter on it until weekend, could it be a swich problem? any ideas appreciated- thanks in advance.

You could swap the white/red and white blue on the dipswitch to see if the main works and the dip doesn't. This would prove the fault to the switch.

Either the switch - or the cable leading away from the switch. I've never heard of a dip-switch failing - but I suppose it's possible. Maybe it's choked with carpet fluff......

I have had a dip switch fail, it needed a double stamp to change beam. Sixty years is a reasonable life span
