Wing mirrors
Does anyone have an opinion as to how far back from the headlights wing mirros should be fitted on the wings?
Re: Wing mirrors
About 1 foot. But have someone hold it in place, and judge for yourself. They are excellent! Modern cars should have them......

Re: Wing mirrors
I have the Desmo swingback mirrors. They are 7" back from the front of the wing (coloured paint not the headlight glass)

Re: Wing mirrors
Personal preference, I usually have mine about 9' back from the headlight. A friend says they should be over the centre of the the wheel but this is really too far back and makes them ineffective.
Too many Minors so little time.....

Re: Wing mirrors
Mine are roughly in line with the ends of the front bumper and that feels, to me at least, about right

Re: Wing mirrors
I used clip on quarter light mirrors as couldnt take a drill to my wing! and also find they get in the way when working under the bonnet, ie dizy or manifold, carb area wiper motor etc....

Re: Wing mirrors
Wherever you fit them make sure that you use convex glass mirrors, flat glass is useless
