Try to just buy a 'new old stock' clutch plate - use the old pressure plate, and a new carbon thrust if it needs it. Is it slipping becuase of oil on the plate? Can you not eek a bit more out of the adjustment - with a washer or two....

I take very good care and do not kill any fish ,catch and release only, and without fishermen /lasses and the millions we pump into the environment agency ,plus the need for clean water,we do lots of good

isn't it closed season for fishing?
I have bought a couple of clutch plates and they have been segmented, don't seem to have the bite of the old type
