Indicator lamp doesn't flash turning right?

The interior green lamp does not flash when turning right? Externals work OK and does flash when turning left so suspect a dirty contact but any suggestions appreciated.

Are you SURE the externals are flashing as they should? Correctly bright and flashing at the right speed?? Hard to imagine the warning lamp will work one side and not the other unless something is wrong with the external lamps.

Find your flasher unit, remove the light green wire and try wiring a test lamp to that terminal. If it flashes both ways then you have proved there is something wrong with the lamp or wiring on the stalk. (although I can't imagine what?)

Thanks for the suggestions and today:-
1. I have replaced he flasher unit, I had a spare, no change.
2. All lamps work and both sides operate at the same rate of indication.
3. Checked wiring and it is all continuous.
My suspisions are that the indicator stalk may have a contact for the RHS.
After unscrewing 3 seperate screws on the indicator stalk shroud/cover, discovered it appears not split.
Am I doing something wrong and it twists off somehow or do I have to remove the steering wheel to get to the indicator assembly?
Cheers

Surely the warning lamp operates from the flasher unit? So - the problem is not in the switch - but in the lamps. Can you try swapping the bulbs from left to right - and see if the problem follows the bulbs?

Thanks for the advice and I will change lamps over as suggested.
Are flasher units polarity dependent as whilst the car was converted to an alternator prior to our ownership, would the flasher unit have to be changed or the wiring altered?
And let's hope it is a cracking bank holiday weather wise.

Not polarity sensitive.

Confession time, the fault was that the black wire had become disconnected at the connector behind the glovebox, my fault entirely. I had been removing redundant wiring, a personal dislike, and in the course of stripping surplus wiring the black earth had become disconnected.
What I am unable to understand is why the indicator worked at all as it did function when the stalk was operated up too turn left?
Thanks for the help and I will just go a sit in the corner with the pointy hat on!

Not making much sense to me either - but as long as it's sorted!
