Finally...

After 4 years work resulting in failure,

3 more years work doing something a bit easier

and 2 more years topping it up...

I have just submitted the final piece of work for my BSc in Engineering and Management 8)

So 9 years to get a degree (4 years failing, 3 years of HND, 2 years of degree)

Im sure lifes not going to get any easier though

Well done on getting as far as you have.
Life is one long university and learning never finishes!
As regards engineering I am still learning even though I have been involved with its many different aspects for over fifty years.
I have come to realise how little I know in the great scheme of things. Just pass me the big hammer it will solve any problem!

Congratulations  Now you can manage your repair work on your Minor 8) And you're right. life won't get any easier, but just enjoy it for whatever it brings - it's a lot better than the alternative :o

Very well done, you deserve to be really satisfied with that result. I did something similar years ago, but gave up half way through. So i know how tough it is. Again, well done.

Thought the idea of being a student and getting these qualifications was to get a well paid job, not get them and have a few years off!!

Sorry for the late reply

And im not sure I could deal with a masters at the moment

Cool, can i ask what your dissertation was in?

It didn't do a dissertation as such...

I did a HND in Mech Eng, which accounted for 240 of the 360 marks required.

A learning management module (reflective reports etc) was 20 mark
A taught course in management techniques was 20 marks
Then 2 work based learning modules (self specifed) at 40 marks each.
These were "Remote Size Reduction Techniques in the Nuclear Industry" and "The impact of changing waste management and legislative controls on alpha facility decommissioning" These were both ~5000 word reports with the reflective reports.
