An interesting piece of kit. How does it work and what does it do? I wonder that the wood doesn't fall off as there's nothing at the back to support it.

Nevertheless I suspect a hydraulic log splitter would be safer and easier to use although more expensive

the only health and saftey is there is a cable attatched to the stop button on the tractor ,as for hloding the wood i have to hold it ,so you dont put tall logs on there because the leverage takes over .its basically a big auger that pulls the log through a wedge on the base of the splitter its that simple .i would love to know what sort of pressure it produces because the logs really go bang when they go .

Dale watch out other things don't go bang if that log jumps with a knot or nail

dont worry i have over 16 years of working on farms before i became a postman and i know when to let go
