So what is it (or was it) then?
coil sprung IFS and column change - someone must know....
I'm hazarding Austin A40 Devon or similar.

I think the engine has been "Marinised" to some extent from the mounting.
The suspension looks to be a lot more modern, ballast or a boat anchor?

Quite possible, though the front suspension does have drum brakes, and the steering column and box appears to have a column change on it so its of a certain age. Can't really see the gearbox properly on the engine, but appears to have a long clutch lever on the bell housing, but not sure if that would be car or boat...

Found these a few years back at Lochmaddy (Outer Hebrides), though the B series engine just above the high tide line was probably ex boat, and the axle with the easiclean wheel visible at low tide probably used to be involved with a trailer for boat launching rather than a complete car. Difficult to tell, and also not sure what it was off....[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]
