The parcel shelf and the side panels are in bad condition and need replacing, anyone know what material i could use and then possibly paint red. Thanks, boydogs.

i used hardboard,works well

I think the type of material with the textured finish is millboard. You can buy the parcel shelf at a reasonable price.

I covered mine in cherokee red leatherette and used pipe lagging from the DIY to cover the Crash pad. The parcel shelf itself is plywood.

One car I cut the parcel shelf from a 2x4 piece of 1/4 inch plywood and covered it with felt. Don't like it much, the felt gets dirty.
On the other, I stained the plywood and coated with polyurethane. Looks nice and cleans easily.
