Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
Needed to allow me to confirm/authenticate vehicles as genuine.
This is for the benefit of all true enthusiasts.
Details given will identify 'ranges', therefore for MNIR use only.

Re: Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
I recall you saying you were nearly ready to publish a book with these details, a couple or more years back. Any update?

Re: Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
Hi Chris, think I've given you mine already but will do so again to be sure.
Re: Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
Let's try and make this piece of research work folks - it literally only takes a minute or two
Open the bonnet, look above the battery and to the right hand (passenger) side - make a note of the numbers that are on the two small ally plates tucked right up against the bonnet seal and, if you also look to the right of the radiator on the engine bay floor and can see the NMP plate - make a note of the number on that too. I'm sure Chris will be very grateful for your help

proper research takes time
Cab/engine number ranges & change points left to do on the
LCV section.
Unable to start Saloon, Traveller & Convertible section as I
don't have a parts book which lists Cowley production
changes.
Previous publications have ignored body numbers.

Re: Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
I have Morris Minor Series MM, and Series II and 948 Service Parts Lists but they only list the part nos and change point chassis nos. No body nos that I can see.

Re: Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
Hi
POMM Reg
My parts book is AKD3542 1966 issue 3
These come up regularly on ebay, mine was around £25 (theres one on ebay at the moment but a bit steep at £98)
I refer to mine regularly so I dont really want to loan it out and at about 3" thick is too much to scan or copy.
There must be someone nearer to you with a copy of this parts book?

Taupe
Perhaps Gloucestershire has banned Minor service part books?
Research will have to be shelved.
Thanks anyway.

Re: Minor chassis/body & engine numbers.
Parts Book doesn't include Ser2 models, therefore require bodyshell info details covering these models
along with all chassis & body number change points.
Anyone able to copy these pages?
Please send to pommreg@gmail.com
Thanks
