So, as i'm about to start my Traveller project my little eyes lit up when I saw that the new series of Wheeler Dealers was doing a traveller, This euphoria what short lived when it came to the wood replacement.
Do you really have to prise off and disgaurd the roof gutters?
And if so, is it something that I can but and fit myself? or is it a specialist job?

Right seriously... i'm doing my own travel;ler resto right now.. it is my first ever major project.
GET YOURSELF A COPY OF RAY NEWEL'S BOOK.. There is a seriously helpful pictorial guide.
I used a sharp chisel to remove the guttering, as it is held in with tiny nails.
If you buy/rent a copy of the book it will give you sooo much helpful information. However the roof guttering replacement, which they did use a specialist for of wheeler's, can be done yourself! With the help of someone else and some patience you'll be fine! Honestly i bought the book and found it so helpful... admittedly i'm 19 and have no idea what i'm doing with any of it so it has been super handy!

Yes it can be done by the "amateur at home" we've done it. You can reuse the guttering but by the time you have prized if off the roof it's a bit distorted, so it's easier to buy new.
