fuel gauge

when i turn on the ignition the fuel gauge
moves as if it's ticking..
any thoughts :-?

What colour is the speedo and fuel gauge, and year of the car. There are different systems depending on the year.

its a 1969. black faced speedo..

Takes time for the 'hot wire' gauge to warm up to the correct reading......

As Roy says its "hot wire" its just jerking as it warms up.

i think the gauge is not working...
also its a gold colour and not black like the speedo..
as said before it will only just (tick)..
i have plenty of fuel in tank.

do i need to get another gauge??? :cry:

Should be black -wrong gauge.

got a gauge for the best price.....FREE
fitted and all works fine... :wink:
