Hi all,

Going to have a crack at replacing my master cylinder tomorrow. Bolts already reversed so hoping it'll be ok....

Are there any other parts it makes sense to replace whilst I'm in there? I assumed that a new piston would come with the cylinder but no, do I replace this? There also seems to be quite a bit of play in the brake pedal pivot arrangement, are there any bushes I should change in here? There's a tiny bit of stick between clutch/brake pedals but I was going to try WD before anything else. But if its a straightforward strip-bush change then I may as well?

if you mean the pushrod that attaches to the brake pedal ,just use then old one,there's always a bit of play in the pedals,so long as it not too much leave well alone,wd40 is useless as a penetrating oil,its really a moisture protectant ie ,in the name water dispersant no 40. Use plusgas or similar.

Put some grease on or near the moving parts, it will keep them lubricated for ages.
Not the MC piston though!
