I have a 59 moggy with holes for trafficators so my wife bought me some for our anniversary (I know thats the joy of a moggy if it was a jag im sure she would not be half as supportive ) but can they be wired to work at the same time as indicators and if so how.

Hi Simon yes it can be done as i have a 1961 minor which has both indicators and trafficators.
Now i am not a auto spark but my minor has two relays one for each system.
I would advise you speak to someone that knows about electrics to get a wiring diagram better still get them to do it but it can be done and it inproves your visiablity when turning all the best Scott :)

In the last club mag there is an offer by the tech tips fella (Rob?) to send a wiring diagram for that purpose to anyone who wants it.

You need two double pole relays in which the indicator switch drives the relays, and the relays drive the indicators and the trafficators. This is what I have done. HOWEVER I would strongly recommend adding a third relay which cuts out the trafficators when you open the car door. There have been many a time where either myself or a passenger have got out of the car and ran into a trafficator (b/c the indicators & traffticators where not turned off). It's a major pain to re-pin and glue the lenses (esp if you live down under).

Yup, Rob's got instructions on how to wire up flashing indicators to work at the same time as trafficators. However, as it's in the club magazine, you have to be a member...
