I have an Austin A30 from 1957 VP 5 horsepower
engine n° 2A146957
The poor car isn't working at all

because I am looking for:
1 crankshaft ( the crankpin is 44,43mm and the bearing 36,50mm)
a set of connecting rod bearing
a set of bearing shell
a set of lateral wedges and some engine gaskets
Do you know where i can find these items, especially the cranksaft.
Thanks a lot for your kind help

I'm guessing you are not in UK ??? A serviceable 803 crank will be VERY hard to find - unless perhaps you buy a complete engine. The crank is also hopelessly weak - and big-end shells are incredibly expensive. The sizes are Imperial btw - NOT metric... You can up grade to a 948 crank - much easier to source and much stronger with cheaper (and better) bearing shells. However you will also need to use 948 conrods with the 948 crank. It would be easier (and much better) to simply fit a complete 948 engine......

I'm intrigued by the 'lateral wedges'!
Are you sure you have your model year correct as the 803cc would have long gone by 1957.
Might also have a look at A30/35 owner's club who may be able to help.
I think I paid circa £80 for a set of big-end shells from Thornton's of Shrewsbury.

can't be a 1957 A30 as they stopped production in 1956.
is it a 803 or 948 engine? does it have an oil filter that srews into the side of the block?

The big end dimensions given are for an 803........ I'm guessing 'lateral wedges' are the thrust washers.

hello everybody,
i contacted Bull Motif Spares and they have everything except the crank so ...
do you really that de 948 crank will fit in the 803 engine ?
i haven't find the cc number but as the oil filter is screwed into the block ,it seems to be a 803cc as Bull motif spares told me
many thanks for your answers and ideas
Sincerely

Yes - a 948 crank can be used (and is VERY much stronger) but you also need 948 connecting rods to go with it.
