Hi ............. i own a Freeman Mk1, my original engine was seized and have had to source a replacement, my donor engine (see pictures, as far as i know its 1000cc engine)has a reduction gear box (is this also what is known as a 'J' type Box..?) on it, i've removed the reduction box which now leaves the drive shaft out the back of the gear box (see pictures).... i need the cover which bolts on to the back of the gear box thats then makes it a straight through gear box........... i have seen what is listed as a '1100 vedette straight through gear box'...... what i would like advice on is would the parts off this box fit my gear box..... sorry if this info is a bit vague, my mechanical knowledge is not great, i've had the engine overhauled by a friend and i am attempting to source this finla part myself... any advice would be appreciated... Paul

I have a "display" side valve Vedette marine engine but that is all. Can you post some pictures?
