1100 gearbox onto 950

Hi all,
My 950 gearbox is on its very last legs. It pops out of first, reverse and third. Reverse is so bad you have to hold the gear lever in and slip the clutch to stand any chance of, well, going backwards, otherwise it pops out regardless of you holding it in! The noise is horrendous. Obviously not ideal.
I was going to do a deal on a smooth case box from a AH sprite, but I really don't think the box will last long enough for me to pick it up. I have a spare 1100 box that I'll fit instead.
I know with the swap I need to change the clutch, pressure plate, backplate, release bearing etc but I can't remember if the speedo pinion is different. Also I think the 1100 box has a different second gear ratio. Is this going to be a problem (ie speedo stupidly out?). Asking more out of curiosity really, I'm sure I can live with no meaningful speedo while I sort out the 950 box but if it works I'm planning to keep it.
Thanks.
