Now I had the underside protected before winter with waxoyl, but recently ive read of people painting the underside?
Is painting it better at preventing salt rusting, or what? Ive heard that moisture can get trapped under the paint though etc?
Just like to know what you think about this

We've been through this before.
It'll be fine for a year if it has already been Waxoyled. Of greater importance are the box sections which rust from the inside out.
If you want to 'paint' it underneath then you need to be aware that it is a very labour-intensive job requiring a great deal of preparation. If you really want to do it then use POR-15 overcoated with chassis black.

no i think jowett was saying that painting the underside of the car has been discussed many time before not that you have raised it many time, if you use the search facility top right you will get plenty of matches
