Wobbly bolts

Sorry if this has been covered before, but these items are new to me: wobbly bolts, a set of tapered washers and lug bolts that allow wheels of one pcd to be mounted on a hub of a differing pcd. Anyone have experience of these, and are suitable sets available for the Minor , i.e, "wobbly stud"? I await the cries of disdain!

There's been some recent discussion about wobble bolts in this thread:

Thanks for that. I guess it's moot- no similar set seems made for cars with studs rather than lug bolts.

you can get wobbly nuts...( stop sniggering at the back)
however the issue is that unless the wheel is held firmly in place and centralised on a centre spigot / hub and the bolts are just to stop the wheel falling off, with wobbly nuts and bolts for that matter there is a danger that the wheel might not centralised and you are exerting an additonal strain on the bolts which is a very dangerous idea.
this is why you will often find that aftermarket alloys are sold with spacer rings to bring the central spigot up to the required size for the wheel.
