This weekend seen the first RIAC National Classic Car Show at the RDS in Dublin. Several NI members attended this, some via bus, car and train. It was quite a good show for being the first. Unfortunately there was not a minor on display apart from 2 in the spectators car park.[frame]

Hi,
Looks like it was a good show.
I don't normally go for red cars these days unless it's one of the deeper shades (I do like Maroon B) but it does sit well on that convertible, I would certainly be tempted.
So where was your Minor then?
Best wishes,
Mike.

David McC, Stevey, chris drummond and ourselves went by train. It was a 200 mile return trip for me (a 340 mile return trip for chris), but besides the mileage because it mainly motorway, I didn't fancy trying to negotiate Dublin and we weren't sure about parking etc.

great show, but maybe next time we'll drive down, now we know where it is, but the train was nice and handy.

Yes an excellent show, I think next time I might drive down. I knew there was to be free parking for the first 250 pre 1980 cars but I was concerned that by the time we would get there that all the spaces would be gone, neednt have worried though. One advantage of the train was that I managed to catch up on a bit of sleep on the way home......
This MM convertible was also in the carpark. Bought by the current owner on ebay from New Zealand and shipped over to Ireland, he runs a classic car hire business.[frame]
