Any idea how many instruments....

.... the regulator in can reasonably cope with?

I will be adding a temperature gauge, and a revcounter which I would like to add on, do those who've added intstrument recommend I invest in a second regulator? Also, does anyone know if the clock should be powered through a regulator (any idea, it's a Smith's Transistorised clock)... If so, stick that on the list of voltage-regulator requiring instruments!

I've seen it suggested in the Holden catalogue that "at least one voltage stabiliser is required per three gauges".

Not something I'd thought of, mind, but it makes sense, I suppose. I shouldn't think the clock would need to be attatched to the voltage stabiliser...

Dont think the Rev counter need one and a clock certainly wont, and I think the regulator on the speedo can cope with 2 instruments anyway.

Ra!

That's good.

My current revcounter is wired without one, and I've often wondered if the wavy needle syndrome it seems to have is a consequence of that.... and the query about the clock came from the incredible unreliabilty of previous car clocks (one which only ran when I was there, one which never, ever kept decent time (ran both fast *and* slow - unfortunately not in equal amounts), so I wondered if that was related....

Right, well, that's fine then. There's only actually one instrument that needs to be wired through the voltage stabiliser....
