My "new clock" part 1

hi just got this off ebay I'm sure it's negative earth ,possibly from a Anglia or it's type ? :-? :-? :-?

just being careful what is your opinion ? pos or neg?

also looking for a bulb holder to fit ,anybody got a spare for sale?[frame]Image[/frame]

If it takes a standard Minor bulb fitting I'll get you one, but looks different in the pics?

It's the same bulb holder as the other small Smiths gauges -- originals, taking screw-threaded bulbs, are (in my experience) difficult to find. You can get new holders that use BA9S bulbs here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Ba9s-bulb-h ... 4609c19352

Oh dear.... I just use the little clock on my wrist if I need the time... Pretty sure it will be +ve earth.

why pos earth ? never owned an early ford ,so have no idea .I think I might try a ford site :-?

It does look horribly Fordish......possibly a Classic something like that. And at that age - +ve earth. Clean up the back carefully - it may be marked - but in these days there was no need - since all were +ve earth.

the back is now gleaming just says 12 volts and an 16+patent number :( ,three jewels

I will try it positive earth first,see if it goes tic tock :D

For information , there is currently a similar looking clock on ebay . The seller states it is negative earth . I did a search on ' smiths car clock ' Hope that helps .
