Can a secret switch be classed as an immobiliser?

Yes, but keep the details to yourself as this is an open Forum

Sure, just wondering if the insurance company asks if an immobiliser is fitted I can say yes.

You would be better to say NO. The insurance co will be expecting something very much more sophisticated than a simple secret switch. Effective as a switch is - a true 'immobiliser' is something that is difficult to overcome - which a switch is not. In the event of the car going missing - they could argue and refuse to pay.

I would also like help in fitting a hidden switch as I have now just finished restoring my Traveller (only took 26 years) and I would be absolutely shattered if some towrag took it for a drive without my permission. It would even be a secret form my son in laws to stop them borrowing it.
