...please?

Many years ago I bought a van load of parts without making a note of what I was getting. So, now I have a pile of parts and although I can identify an engine and gearbox etc. I have no idea if there is anything useful, special or of value to anyone. Please take a look at the pictures and chip in with sensible observations.

If those kingpins are from an 8CWT van they could potentially be valuable, they had thicker steering arms and are relatively rare.
Nothing else I can see that is rare or special. I'd take a gearbox and a backplate off you though if you have one going

Chesney, thanks for that. I'm sure we can work something out with a gearbox. When the weather is better (my favourite excuse) I'll get everything out and do a stock take as there are boxes of parts and a few panels. Now, what's a king pin!?

How can I tell the cc of the engines and gearboxes?

Engines - look on side of block - some may have aluminium plate with 1100 or 950 on or possibly (as per one of the photo's, 950 cast into the block. Gearboxes - smooth side is either an 803 or 950, ribbed is either 1100 or possibly 1275. Gearbox numbers posted would help identify. APHM is the engine prefix for 803 engines, APJM for early 950 engines to some point in 1957, thereafter 9M-U-H for high compression, L for low compression and 10MA for 1100. if engine number is CG this indicates a 950 engines as fitted to early MG Midget and Sprite, 10CC or 10CG is the 1100 engine as fitted to the later Midget and Sprite, 12CE or CC is the 1275 midget engine.

Looks like a lot of suspension and front hub/wheel assembly parts. If you have the space don't throw them away! PLEASE lay the gearboxes horizontally, there is a real risk of damage having them stood on their ends like this.

The Silver Seal unit is interesting - it has an alternator fitted, perhaps done at the factory?
