Hello folks, think I'm going for the 1.5 inch stainless exhaust from bull motif to go with my 1275 supercharged project, just wondered if anyone had already bought this, thoughts comments etc. any info would be appreciated. I'm going stainless because i always have, probably exhaust wrap it and its one less thing to rust, but if anybody wants to stand for mild steels corner then I'd love to know what yo got to say. I noticed birmingham Morris centre don't seem to do a stainless big bore kit got me wondering if theres something big i don know, i know a few mates whose stainless inlets on supercharged minis have splintered ( im guessing heat) but ive never suffered this on my mog and me dad has raced with stainless manifolds with no problems

I think a lot of people who have used these systems find they don't fit very well and need modifying. I can't think of what supplier it was now though. Something to bear in mind.

I think you'll find that you'd be better off with a slightly larger bore for that engine spec- perhaps 1 3/4"/. Maniflow do one, though it will be pricier than the BM one. 1 1/2" is recommended for modded 948s and 1098s.

Yeah been looking at maniflow Morris exhaust, but there big bore kit is 1 and 5/8 which is the same bore as what me dads got on his 4 litre hillclimber which made me wonder if inch and half would be enough, but I guess his isn't forced induction so whether breathing isn't necesarily related to engine size? God I've raised even more questions for myself!

I agree - 1.5" is a bit too small for a supercharged 1275. The Mini lads would use a 1.75" system for high power 1275.
