Hi all, does anyone know when the dashboard glovebox lids were changed to the later curved type and likewise when the earlier flat lids were introduced? Hope that makes sense, cheers

The 948 models (October '56 - November '61) had flat glovebox lids throughout production. Early lids were plain and hollow but later lids had a chrome finisher and had a wooden fillet, covered in rexine on the inside face. From November '61 to around September '62, both glove box compartments were open. This continued with the introduction of the 1098 models until October '64, when the curved passenger glovebox lid was introduced and an open drivers side compartment too.mike.perry wrote:Original passenger side glove box lid, Series MM/Early Series II curved with badge or clock. 1948-54
