Crikey!! That's FAST...........    Yes you should change the oil and the filter. 20W50 oil if you have it - or perhaps SAE 40 in your climate will be fine... DO NOT use 10W40......although I doubt it is sold in SriLanka. And a new paper element filter....

It's all in the workshop manual Sandun...and yes - SAE 40 will be fine in the gearbox. Where can you but motor spares in SriLanka??? Or do you have to buy from UK??

Black oil by itself is not an indication that it's time to change oil. Fresh oil will turn black in a couple of hundred miles. Change the oil and filter every 3000 miles.
The filter is located on the right side of the engine, down low. Remove the bolt at the bottom of the canister, and be prepared to catch spilled oil.
Carefully remove the canister, and note the way things are put together. That's the way you will reassemble things.

hey you are quite lucky living in Sri lanka. as there is a morris minor factory in sri lanka still trading.
the last time i went there i saw a morris minor built from scratch, they only had the engine and floor.
the rest was all panel beaten by hand and the finish result was amazing. most of the parts we get here is manufactured there.
the morris minor was the black cab in srilanka from the 60's to the 80'S.

There are indeed some parts made in Sri Lanka....but not enough to make a whole car!! And yes they are imported here - and are not known to have the best fit..... :-?
