Fitting modern/safer seats
Toying with the idea of fitting safer/modern seats to my four door. I see a few other cars have them fitted and I was wondering what type seat they are or where could I source a set (what car ?) ??? Plan to fit a bigger (1098) heater as well as an anti-roll bar and disc brakes as we want to use this car as much as possible for short distance every day driving so safety is the key.

Re: Fitting modern/safer seats
Interior Seat colour advise -
Trying to source a set of Ford Ka seats in Ireland and had a call today from a scrap yard offering me a set of Cream/Beige leather seats. I'm just wondering if they would go with the interior that I have in my car. The door cards are black, obviously, but the carpets were made locally (in Africa) where the car was used for most of its life.
Car interior as it currently stands. I do have another black seat from another car to replace the current partly ripped one, but its not a drivers seat and as I want to drive this car as a local everyday car I do tend to want to fit modern seats.

Internet picture of cream leather seats from a Ka. What do you think ? Do they go with black door cards and a beige carpet ???
I had another last call from a yard in Portlaoise but I have to ring them back tomorrow so I don't know what they have. I put a wanted ad for grey/black seats.

Re: Fitting modern/safer seats
you could always dye/ paint the door cards to match the grey of the seats
or re-cover the cards with grey vinyl?

Ask Charlie morris minor to send you the PDF.

Did that today.

Re: Fitting modern/safer seats
Can I just ask.....how does one remove the feet from the Ka seats? The "big" one at the rear is where I've started. Drilled out two of the metal studs that hold the foot to the seat runner, but there's another two that look very inaccessible. Also, is that a little weld on the side of the foot? Never expected that. Looks like I might have to invest in an angle grinder......which I've never used in my life. Why did I start this? Lol.
