indian minors for sale?

hi
i have been hearing that there are morris minors being built from scratch in india. i was wondering if this is true and how much would they cost? does anyone have any info?

if that were the case
they would have to be imported as new cars
then they wouldent pass the current safety laws etc etc etc
and they would be taxed as new cars and no
longer be tax free
would be nice to think that you could buy new though
hey ho its the way of progress

A certain number of parts are being hand made in Sri Lanka including van chassis, not aware of anything from India.

Probably badged as Hindustan from the dies sent there ages ago. They still make a car based on the Morris Oxford S.III 1954-58 model.

I wonder though if they were registered as sold in India and used for a week or two, then shipped here as used would modern rules apply?
A bit like those pastiche Nissan Figrolls.

they would be subject to the rules in place at the date of construction

A type of morris is used as a taxi in india do not believe this is a minor.
