My Minor Million, RRG 350 has been taken this morning (or last night). It's been taken from just outside Saffron Walden, Essex. If anyone has any news, or is offered a million for sale I would be so grateful if you could let me know.

Wouldn't the metal be knackered after it being burnt out?

There have been "rebuilds" from next to nothing on this site, given the rarity I thought it would be worthwhile, certainly if the insurers cough up, there may be at least a sizeable contribution to some of the work.
Of course its easy for me as a bystander watching from the sidelines.

I appreciate that there have been some fantastic and interesting rebuilds on here, I'm waiting for Taupe to update his traveller rebuild for one, but what I was questioning was whether the metal body of the car would be up to it, having been burnt out and therefore subject to the excessive heat that entails, doesn't that alter the internal structure of the metal?
Weakening it?
Would it be safe to rebuild?

Yes, but like I said its been burnt out - the metal will be useless.

I just copied this from the 'Expensive wreck' post, which I think helps make my point.
I really do sympathise with Claire but it's not what the car was, it's what they've done to it that counts now.
I'd like to think they'll get what's coming to them but in the meantime I think any insurance money would be better spent on a replacement, as I think those scum have rendered this one beyond saving.

And if the only thing that will replace it is another Minor Million, then I shall keep my fingers and toes crossed for you Claire, that the right one comes along at the right price. You deserve some luck after this.

I am truly sorry to hear of the loss of another lilac brother. The million register is planning a calendar perhaps next year.

If it can be saved or not depends on how much of a fire there was.
I had one that had been set on fire, but with a new interior it wasn't that bad - however if it's a full burn out (tyres, tank, underbonnet and all) then it really should be a gonner.

I know it may be a big ask, but if you could get photos, that may give a final answer.
I'm not a major million fan but many are, so unless it's really unthinkable to restore, someone may want to.
