hi eveyone :D
im sure this questions been asked many times before, but would a 1992 998cc mini head and rockers fit my 1957 948cc moggy engine, and if so what are the advantages??
ive got a realy good mini engine which would be a shame to butcher for parts if theirs no real advantage. but considering rebuilding the moggy engine

Yes - it's the same head - but unleaded. No power advantage.

And will it fit the 803 cc engine as well?

Is the Mini head easily identifiable as I suspect my car may have one mated to the 948cc block.
It has a temperature sender takeoff point at the front of the head.[frame]Image[/frame]

Could be - take the rocker cover off and report the numbers seen.

Boomlander, I dont think yours is a standard minor 948 head. The reason is that the 948 engine did not have a take off for a temp sender unit, it was only fitted on the 1098 engine.

I recently fitted a capillary temp gauge on my 948 because of this. Roy did advise me that the only other way of fitting a electrical temp gauge would be to find a mini head.
