Oil Filter / Fan Belt

Hi there,
I'm looking for advice on a coulple of things.
(1) I'm trying to change the oil in Auld Mick for the first time since I got him and I removed the oil filter which is marked "Coopers z25". I nipped doon to Halfords thinking they might be able to match it but they were about as helpful as you'd expect them to be. On checking internet since I got back it seems that this is an old filter part number. Does anyone know of an equivalent part number and where I could get it? I've got an Autoparts shop nearby the house but don't really know what to ask them for. I would rather get one from a shop than online so I can get it soon and I can't put the old one on temporarily as it got damaged on removal.
(2) Trying to change the fan belt as it's been squealing a bit. From checking various posts on here I'm pretty sure my car has a 1098cc engine in it. It's a 1955 splitty so I guess it's not the original engine. Also the car's got an alternator rather than a dynamo. the marking on the current fan belt says PCFB 814. I bought a new belt online and was informed it was for a 1098cc engine with an alternator. The belt supplied says QBA825. It seems bigger and wider than the other one. Should I install the new one or try and get one the same as the old one?
Thanks in advance
Paul.

The original engine for a ''55 would be an 803 so you need to know if it has been changed for a 1098. There should be a plate on the side of the engine behind the manifold. with 1100 on it
You also need to know if you have the original paper element oil filter or a canister.
If it is a paper element then you need to check if the spring and large washer are in place below the element
Once you know what is fitted to the car just ask for the parts to fit a Morris Minor, Mini or anything with an A Series engine.
The fanbelt for an alternator is slightly shorter than for a dynamo, but first check that the original is tight

Hi there,
Yeah, it's got a 1100 on it and the markings in the attached photo. I think it is a 1098.
The filter is a screw on metal canister type. It says Coopers and z25 on the original one.
I attached the new fan belt anyway and tightened it up. Not had a chance to try it yet cause I don't want to start the engine without any oil in it. It seems quite tight though.

Thanks everyone for all your help and advice. I've got an oil filter ordered now. Should hopefully get it early in the week.
Regards the fan belt, i'll just try the one I got from ESM. It's slightly bigger and wider than the one I took out but maybe the one that was in it before wasn't the correct one.
Thanks again everyone. Paul.

825 is correct for the belt. And almost certainly a Mini screw on filter will fit.

Jings that's a different size again. I'll maybe just use some of the misses knicker elastic (Macgyver style

).

838 may be okay with a dynamo... But suspect too long for a small pulley alternator. Unless of course you have the larger diameter water pump pulley?

I wonder what the difference is between the two? I'm using the one sold as part of a alternator kit from Brum moggie people, witch is the 838 with a normal ? water pump.
If the difference is small ,can it not be taken up or down with the normal adjustment?
My kit did have a different adjuster bracket.

Normal water pump too. I've not had a chance to try the belt out yet. Hopefully tomorrow if the weather's not too crazy.

better ,to start with being a little too loose ,too tight and the water pump bearings fail

Fitted fan belt. The slightly bigger, wider one recommended by ESM and got the oil filter from Halfords and fitted it. Everything seems fine. Thanks for your help everyone. No more squeeling when I'm driving (except from my passengers but that's to be expected).
