clips for ply holding front headliner behind sun visor

Post by GPO_Van »

I asked the following re removing the ply piece of wood that holds the head liner

http://www.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=40440

Now I’m ready to refit my head liner, the problem is I gave the piece of ply to my welder whose wife is a professional seamstress and made the headliner from material he gave me, the ply is missing the two clips and I’m vague on the size and shape to make some :(
Any help please, picture and/or measurements
Thanks

Should be an illustration in parts books?
Further investigations uncovered it was an inside job!!

Heres a diagram of how to disconnect the front headlining and some pics of the clips and ply rail etc.

The headlining needs to be undone and the tension wires slackened before you push it forward.

I hate to see these broken but it is very frustrating until you find just how easy it is to do properly!

Yes they are, I presumed gpo was referring to an lcv. They fit at the front and hold the strip of shaped hardboard in place, this hardboard allows the interior lamp to be held in place via the headlining and 2 small timber blocks glued to the hardboard. Maybe the saloons are different. Can probably get a picture of this if needed.

Hi POMReg the "clip headlining TRM800" in the parts book does not look like mine were, but the pictures sent by Taupe are the type I had.
Thanks to both of you for taking the time to sort me out :P
