Give us a wipe

Post by lowride stepside »

At the start of the year I put my truck back on the rd ,and one of the new things i fitted was a pair of wipers from ESM by june , both rubber squeegy edges had torn off , so I phoned and moaned , they said no probs we'll send you some more ,which they did , I posted the old ones back as agreed , today jumped in the old girl and the drivers wiper blade is peeling off again ,anyone else experianced this , or more importantly where can i get some good ones.

I put some stainless steel wipers on mine a few years ago and the same thing happened. I fitted some wiper rubber refills, obtained locally, and problem gone. It is a pity when brand new components have to be replaced.

Sometimes local motor factors buy in higher quality parts. Unless the bit is unobtainable from my local factors, I then go to ESM and the like. It's always worth walking in and asking the question, basically because if it does go wrong, it's only 1/2 an hour and a new replacement can be fitted.

I purchased wiper blade refils from Halfords, these needed to be cut down (make sure you cut the correct end) but fitted into the existing chrome wiper arms and work OK

22inch wiper blade from wilko for £3, remove the rubber strip, cut in half, slide onto stainless!
