engine and gearbox rebuilding south wales

Hi All,
Well,I'm looking at someone in the south wales area who could rebuild the engine and gearbox fom my 948.Alternitively I would be looking for a straight swap,but dont know where to start to look!
p.s,this is my first time back on here in 7 years!

There are quite a few members from South Wales who are regulars here so hopefully someone will be able to help. As for where to look for an engine and gearbox, you could try posting a request in the 'wanted' forum here as someone might have what you need.

at one point south wales pistons rebuilt engines..

As others have said, Try:
South Wales Pistons (but Im not sure they actually rebuild engines, dont they just provide machine work like rebores/crankgrinds etc);
Pogsons in Wenvoe (as above, not sure he actually rebuilds engines, I think he just provides rebores/crankgrinds etc);
I Cant remember their name, but they are based at the side of Radyr Railway Station car park.
What is actually wrong with the engine?
Where in South Wales are you? We have a club meeting night and AGM on the first wednesday of December in Pontyclun. Someone there is bound to be able to help you with an engine rebuild specialist, or perhaps may be able to rebuild it for you.

We meet in Pontyclun Athletics club on Palalwyf Avenue in Pontyclun. The start time is 7:00 for 7:30
Its actually our christmas dinner too, £8 on the day I believe.

Hi Mike.This is Santa Dawes. Another Sth. Wales Branch Member. There is a company here in Cwmbran. One ofour branch members has used but I am unsure how good they are. I can find out for yo if needed. The engine can be looked at by another branch member Godfrey Crew (Well Recomended). As Steve stated, Or branch meets on the 1st Wednesday of each month except in Jan. Our next meeting is next Wednesday. Our AGM was last month. Next week we are having or Christmas Meal Yo and anyone else are very welcome to attend but as we need nmbers before Saturday Please contact me......
