Any views on fitting Xenon HID kits to H4 head lamps on my Morris..... just wondering if it’s worth it or not for the extra light

Completely illegal. Cars with HID must have self levelling to avoid dazzle.

Would imagine that Halogen should light up the road pretty well if correctly adjusted. :)

I've got Halogen's fitted on all my cars. They don't change the orginal look of the car but they illuminate the road unlike the original headlights

HID draw less power than halogens. But yes, illegal. I get away with it on my motorcycle though...

A quality halogen lamp (nightbreakers and the like) aimed right is quite good. And is legal.

okay thanks all for your views :) ..... I have invested in some better bulbs to be fitted in the headlights, but have also fitted some driving lights I converted myself to HID bulbs. I have wide them in so they cut in with the headlights on main beams and they do make an awful lot different. The main difference being that they seem to pick up traffic signs a lot better which is good when looking to turning and of course as has been pointed out the use considerably less power.

I dont think there are any kits available to do this but but with enough time and effort im sure something could be done. Not only though do the HID's have to be auto leveling they also have to have the right focus lense (so you cant just swap the bulbs over) plus i think in the uk now you need have washers aswell.

Was trying to do a conversion on my MR2's quad headlights, got some cheap headlights from a peugot i think but trying to shoehorn everything in was a nightmare. might be a bit more space in the minor.
