Whatever happened to Traveller YWT 181G?

Post by louise.foster »

My Grandad's beloved trafalgar blue traveller YWT 181G was passed on to my Dad and became our family car when I was growing up in the 1970's. It was restored (sort of) and given to me and my husband as a wedding present in 1986. We loved it and covered many miles between Inverness and Yorkshire.
It needed some work doing which we couldn't afford and we sold it for £275 to pay the rent. I have always felt so sad about that. I heard the unmistakable sound of a Morris Minor today in a remote part of the Highlands and I was instantly carried back to great memories.
Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to it? Would be good to know if it survived or not.
Good to know lots of people love these fabulous old cars and keep them going.

It's on SORN so has been taken off the road - hopefully just for the winter - or might be being restored. :)
