Nuts and bolts - for what?? The body is all BSF threaded and the mechanical parts are all UNF threaded........ NOTHING is metric (thank goodness).

There are neither UNC nor UNF bolts on the body of the car. They are ALL BSF !!

Here you are but not cheap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BSF-NUTS-BOLT ... 5644f180c4

However - (and this heresy, so turn away if faint hearted) where there is a nut and bolt used together on the car you could use much less expensive Metric bolts and nuts....... But it's non standard and will lead to future confusion with spanner sizes.

Hell fire not cheap but as you say i can swop a nut and bolt for a metric one but im fitting two chassi legs and the bolt holes to hold the gearbox mounting bracket has nuts in place and the repair paneles for the back wings have them fitted any how £800 plus on panels another £20 more plus a hanky to cry in :D :D :D

Many replacement panels, if not all now, have their captive nuts in metric, rather sloppy practice when intended for a Minor. You may wish to check this out on any new metalwork you have bought.

I get my nuts and bolts from here but of course you do need to know the sizes to start with.

Wing bolts are 5/16 BSF I think

Yes - we've been over the Side valve engine and it's metric threaded (but not headed?) fittings before.......It was an engine 'borrowed' from the French........
