Carburettor body cleaning

Post by leafie »

My carb is very grubby and I have taken it off to clean it up. I don't want to go for the polished look you see on a lot of cars just the as new look. I was thinking of using alloy wheel cleaner with a brush but not sure if it will be a bit severe.

Yes! The alloy wheel cleaner foamy stuff works well - work it around with a tooth brush to get into the nooks and crannies. Then some choke and carb cleaner spray for the insides......watch out - it's highly flammable. Wash the tooth brush out well before brushing your teeth again.....
