hi, just bought two new genuine wings from charles ware, exceptional fit first time with no adjustments needed at all. All the shut lines and panel gaps are perfect, could not be better. Cost me £168 inc vat for the pair with members discount.
cheers

Most Minor specialist sell front wings, either 'original' or 'pattern'
Try Bull Motif on 01386 831755 His latest ad lists genuine fronts
at £84-95

So where do these moggie specialists get 'genuine' wings then? does someone have the original press somewhere (if so, then who is it?) or are they from an old stock that Morris made and stored up for the past 35 years? Looks like I might need a pair for my van when I do it.

AS FAR AS I CAN SEE, THE ONLY WAY TO GET ORIGINAL OR GENUINE STEEL WINGS IS TO BUY NEW OLD STOCK.

MANY OF THE SO CALLED GENUINE ONES ARE NOT THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL GENUINE ONES

the ones i bought from charles ware are the same as they fit at their workshop, i presume they have the original press at their factory in sri lanka, or an exact copy.

press at their factory in sri lanka,
My presumption could not be further away from that. ;-)
However I would hope that the panels they now sell are good quality as they seem to sell a fair amount.

I think you will find they are all hand made in Sri Lanka as they still have traditional craftsmen over there with much cheaper labour rates.
When wings are listed as genuine rather than pattern they should be "Heritage approved standard" and if they are not produced on the original tooling (it does wear out) it will be replacement tooling to "Heritage" standards.
And just a word in passing Charles Ware is not "Heritage" approved but not having used his bodywork panels I can`t comment on quality of fit, but judging from Martyn`s comments they seem fine.
