Hi,
I wondered what the going rate was for a pair of chrome insert strips that go around a split screen front windscreen ?

This pair on ebay just sold for £140 so it gives an idea! No centre capping pieces either
None currently on ebay as far as I can see...

I was offered a pair for £150 delivered.
I'm not after a set and I don't have these, but if anyone else is after some then 'Intapart' has them.
I picked up on it from an ebay ad, (item 190737652904) and asked them about it.
From the looks of the picture, there is much available from this car.

I just bought the intapart one, it's not bad condition, and I'm missing one joiner. I didn't pay silly money for it and also managed to get a rear view mirror
So if anyone desperate for one then I could move it on but It's nice to have a spare

I'm not so sure that one is for a split screen Minor. It looks too straight and rectangular, the split screens have a distinct curve to them. I'd guess its a stainless steel one for an early Minor 1000 which were used up till about 1965 I think before the plastic ones came in. Also the lip that goes into the rubber looks to be turned over on this to stop it popping out like the splitscreen ones are prone to. the doubled over lip ont he M1000 version made it very secure in the rubber.
The price would also indicate its a Minor 1000 one
as these are quite plentiful...
I guess its a genuine mistake by the seller as its not obvious if you dont have a car to hold it up against.

too straight, not a split screen they have ,as said a distinct curve in the corners.I've asked the seller to show a photo of the end profile.

The MMOC spares dept had a few sets available (second hand) when I got mine a few weeks ago: £60 for the trim & £15 for the joiners; whether they've all gone now, I don't know.?

had reply from seller,its the wrong photo,he says that he has both and that the one shown is for m1000,but that he has a split screen as well allthough he dosen't say what condition,haven't looked at e bay to see if he has ammended the listing or put a photo of the split screen on there.So could be worth a bid
