A quick question because my car looks wrong. Where the main loom goes through the bulkhead into the engine bay should there be 1 or 2 triangular brackets and should there also be a grommet? Thanks

Hi,
I think there should be two triangular brackets that are split, and a split rubber grommet sandwiched between them. The whole lot goes on the engine bay side and is secured by 3 self tappers if i remember correctly.

Cheers

Yes thanks that all makes sense. Now I need some advice on how to fit my refurbished wiring loom - what is the right and/or easiest way to reinstall it, i.e. begin from inside car and feed all wires through the bulkhead?

When I replaced Mog's loom, I began in the engine bay. Once a significant level of work had been accomplished there, I threaded the pertinent part of the loom into the cabin, and made the connections behind the dash. But any direction probably suffices so long as all the connections eventually get made. 8)

With a manual showing the correct wiring for your car, lay the loom out on the floor and identify all the ends. Connect the control box wires and push the inst and switch wiring into the car. Push the loom for the rear lights from under the car into the boot.

Thanks guys, wiring loom successfully fitted to engine bay, wires correctly connected (i think) and relevant cables pushed into cabin and under car. Progress at last :)
