It's Movember again Chaps and Chapesses!!

Post by brucek »

Anyone taking part in the Movember campaign this year? Movember is a 30 day challenge to grow and maintain a striking moustache whilst raising money for prostate and testicular cancer research and raising awareness of mens health issues in general ('cos we don't like talking about them sort of things!!). I'll be going for it - not sure of the style yet - maybe a 'Merv Hughes' or a 'Grouch Marx'!! Go on guys - give it a go too and have a bit of fun this Movember! Check out http://www.movember.com for more info. Oh, and by the way girls - you can sign up as a Mo-sis too in support of your Mo-bro!! Here's my day one look (it was an early start today so have a 5 o clock shadow!!) will post updates as the days go by - feel free to post your Movember updates here too. Good luck!![frame]Image[/frame]

I'm gonna have a go, the local rugby club boys have registered and planning a real ale trip on the 25th. A good excuse for a gentlemans day out and for a good cause (done one about 18 months ago, only just getting over it). Will post a pic later on when I have developed the Mo a little.

So there are a few of us Gentlemen growing a MO to raise awareness about Chap type health conditions. My wife, children and work colleagues have described my MO to be both Dashing & Dandy! Follow this link to check out the old prostate, its easier than filling in a spot the ball coupon. Its all about spotting things early don't you know. http://www.prostateaction.org.uk/sites/ ... s/IPSS.pdf

Question: How do I complete and check my Spot the Ball coupon? Answer: Us Chaps need to start checking our coupons don't you know. Follow this link it may well provide you with a long term health wedge! http://cancerhelp.cancerresearchuk.org/ ... xamination

Just checked the Spot the Ball link, it does not appear to be working, follow this one instead. Come on now gentlemen, how many of you check your car more than yourself? The thing is if your unwell who's gonna look after your minor?

Don't rely on the symptoms listed on that website . I had none of those . Had to have a medical to change a life policy at just over 50 , I had seriously high blood pressure had blood tests including PSA that was elevated went for biopsy came back with a Gleeson score of 8 (10 is the max) was very aggressive and had to have the prostate out . I had no idea, no symptoms.
Get a PSA test done not always necessary for surgery or chemo blast ,sometimes a wait and see is advised
Get talking fellas its your life and health
