Wheels
Hi everyone I'm new to this so bear with me, my son had an accident in our pick up moggy. The wheel was damaged beyond repair. On restoring the wheel I remember the guy I got them off remembered the wheel was from a Nissan micra with the central hub for the moggy welded inside, I got the relevant wheel , grounded the middle out and found it was a few millimetres too big for me to fit the salvaged centre. Can anybody shed some light on the matter? As I'd like to keep the wider wheels and I'm stuck at this point. The wheels were custom made by somebody and he's pretty well known a few years ago for making these wheels, any help would be very much appreciated.

I think you will need pictures to confirm wheels etc.
Meantime, plenty of people will sell/lend/give you a set of standard moggy wheels while you sort replacements (I know I could)..

thanks for the reply! and the offer thanks alot. here are some pictures i just took sorry if its too dark or blurry from left to right is the finished product i need then its the centre i cut out the wrecked wheel that i need to find the rim for and the next is the wrong rim im sure it was the right one untill i place the centre in. the next is the truck it came from. cheers again[frame]

Sorry to hear about the accident.
The wheels sound VERY iffy to me... pick-up wheels are big enough as they are, and I am surprised there were no balance problems with these home made jobs.
I would strongly advise going back to standard.
Does the insurer know about these unusual wheels?

heres the truck they came off. these wheels were proffesionally made by an engineer.

If they were professionally done then they should be OK. Sorry I misunderstood and thought these were home-made.
Still I suggest returning to std. spec.

£120 upwards for TWO ?? And note -they are still using the thin original Minor centres........ Wouldn't be me !
