Moggie @ 7400 feet

Post by Tomz »

I've finally found a Traveller for me and took it back home last weekend. :D
It did really well, the 800 miles were no problem, not even the passes in Switzerland! :D[frame]Image[/frame]

hi
nice picture.
I understand the E reg plates are fairly rare as it was only used for a short while in 67 ? because they changed the system dates

Not that I'm aware of, not rarer and no system change then either.

E registrations (mine is an E reg also) were only issued for 6 months, not 12 months like all the others, as the way reg letters were issued changed in '67 from January - December to July - June I believe.

Correct, E plates were the "short" one which were only around for the 6 months. I have an E plate traveller too... but its registration is more appropriate for the "other" site... MMO

A plates were also less common as not all registration authorities changed over on 1st Jan 1963 if they had not used up their allocations.

B as well. The suffix became nationwide in Jan 65 with 'C'
