Hi,
I have been wondering for some time now whether it would have been better to have had my car resprayed in Cellulose.
I chose 2 pack because I was given to understand it is better at withstanding stone chips (though it has some now...) and initially it polished up just as good, so I was happy.
However it now seems to have deveolped 'flat' areas, mainly on the bonnet and boot, which take more effort to polish up to a shine each time and don't look great then.
So would I have been better off having it done in Cellulose, does this stand the test of time better? (I know they all used to be done in Cellulose but there must be a reason why 2 pack is so widely recommended.)
Also which fades quicker, Cellulose or 2 pack?

2k is the harder wearing of the 2 finishes. Why not get the existing paintwork machine polished - far better than just T cutting and polishing.
However, some colours do fade more than others - red in particular needs some 'maintenance'.

2k is the work of the devil - horrible 'false sheen' finish. Celly is by far the best or a Minor, and easily repaired for dings and scrapes. It will be a job now to overspray the 2k with celly.......

I agree about red cars, most end up looking a rather flat pink.................yuk!!
I shall have to ask about machine polishing.

That said however, I really like Maroon B on Minors! It also seems to hold it's colour well on the ones I've seen......

2k properly flatted back and polished looks just as good as celly. It's the 'off the gun' finish with 2k that looks plasticky.

I second that last post(and have said so on here before).Its all in the final finishing.Wish I lived closer to BMC.He wouldnt be able to tell the difference visually.
