One of the rear doors has gone out of adjusment and will not close properly. What is the best way to adjust it? There is no play on the hinges which have some sort of cam adjustment

No 'cam' adjustment that I know of. What's the problem - dropped ??

There is a hinge bolt, a spring, a swively bit other bits but I cannot get the hinge apart to see how it works

The top hinge bracket sits on a ball. I have put thin(ish) plastic washers under (and over) the balls to lift my doors slightly. Works well - can't be seen and the doors swivel nicely. See the ever helpful MOSS diagrams... http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/Shop/ViewP ... exID=17148

I have managed to close the door by lifting it and then firm application of the knee cap which enabled me to drive the Traveller to the MOT which it passed after replacement of a rear wheel brake cylinder. I may try a couple of hinge service kits if I can't adjust the hinge mounting bolts

You should loosen the hinge bolts going through the wood - just slightly. Then fit the two doors together interlocking the edges and push them closed. Then tighten the bolts ! They should have tested the doors would open and close correctly at the MOT....

They did work at the MOT, I b@xxered them up before the retest whilst fitting new floor covering.

I'm certain you can get shims to help adjust the rear doors.

Starting to suffer from sore knee caps, I think that I will try a hinge service kit.

Can't see how that will help??? If they were ok - and then suddenly not ok, something must have moved! Slacken the bolts - close the doors - tighten the bolts. It's all it can be!! Unless of course something nasty has happened to the main timber frame of the car..... Has it taken a twist somehow??

Door frame and back of car are rigid. The back door fit was marginal before, the door was clipping the number plate light. There seems to be a sideways movement at the hinge pin which I cannot undo so a hacksaw and service kit may be the answer

Slackened the hinges, slipped a hacksaw blade under the bottom of the door and tightened the hinges. Then fitted a new rod socket with rubber insert at the bottom, tightened the hinges, removed blade and with a slight lift and application of the shoe the door closes. Waiting for the hinge service kits so that I will not need to lift the door.
