sorry it did not work out with this one, but at least it has convinced your wife that she wants one as well

Wings and door bottoms look OK, plus it has the correct 948 engine - would make a good project for someone and definitely a shame to break.

3 wings good all door bottoms very bubbly yes we definately want a minor

Put it in the For Sale section - someone on here will be able to save it.

from the look of it it was obviously a non runner,how was it listed in e bay ,was the price fair for a project car which it clearly is.

On the road for 27 years: off the road for the last 26. An ambitious project. Has anyone here kept a detailed and honest record of what they've spent on restoring a car from this condition? Perhaps if the OP could say whereabouts he is, someone would either advise on its condition or make an offer?

That's all very well Mike, but we don't have that many members in the part of Wales that rae is based in to help - there's no mid-Wales branch unfortunately

It does not mention location in the posting, but my comment was a warning to anyone buying an old car.

We do have a Shropshire Branch however who "may" have a few members near you who could offer support. They may know of cars for sale as well.

Rae - I'm only down the road in Llanymynech if you want a second opinion on anything. I'm not a Minor expert but having had mine for just over a month I'm discovering little 'gems' everyday
